Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Getaway by Tonya Jean Becker LLC is a Minnesota-based travel agency. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our complimentary 30-minute travel insurance consultation service.
The Agency's approved branding includes the name Getaway by Tonya Jean Becker LLC and the approved globe-jet-heart logo.
By submitting a consultation request, scheduling an appointment, or participating in the consultation, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Description of the Complimentary Consultation
The consultation is a free, introductory conversation lasting up to 30 minutes. The consultation may include:
- General information about the purpose and types of travel insurance;
- General explanations of commonly used travel insurance terms;
- General discussion of questions to consider when reviewing travel insurance;
- General information about obtaining quotes or reviewing available resources; and
- General travel-planning context that may help you decide whether to explore travel insurance further.
The consultation is provided at no cost and does not require you to purchase travel insurance, book travel, or enter into any other agreement with the Agency.
The consultation is limited to the scheduled time. If additional assistance is requested or needed, separate services, fees, or arrangements may apply and will be disclosed before any additional service is provided.
2. General Information Only
The consultation is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not a personalized insurance recommendation, insurance advice, coverage determination, policy interpretation, claims assessment, or legal, tax, or financial advice.
We will not determine whether a particular policy is suitable for your individual circumstances. We will not advise you that a specific claim, loss, event, medical condition, activity, destination, cancellation reason, or other circumstance will be covered.
You should not rely on information provided during the consultation as a substitute for reviewing the applicable insurance policy or consulting a properly licensed insurance professional.
3. The Agency's Role
Getaway by Tonya Jean Becker LLC is not an insurance company, insurer, insurance broker, or licensed insurance agent unless expressly identified otherwise in writing.
The Agency does not underwrite, issue, administer, adjust, or decide claims under any travel insurance policy. The Agency does not control an insurer's underwriting standards, eligibility requirements, policy terms, exclusions, limitations, premiums, cancellation provisions, or claims decisions.
If you are directed to an insurer, insurance provider, licensed insurance professional, supplier portal, or third-party website, that party's separate terms, privacy policy, licensing status, and practices will apply.
4. Policy Terms Control
Any travel insurance policy you purchase is a contract between you and the applicable insurer or insurance provider. The policy documents, including the policy certificate, declarations, definitions, exclusions, limitations, conditions, and endorsements, control the scope of coverage.
You are solely responsible for:
- Reading the complete policy before purchasing;
- Confirming that the policy is available to you and applicable to your trip;
- Reviewing covered reasons, exclusions, limitations, benefit amounts, deductibles, waiting periods, deadlines, and documentation requirements;
- Confirming whether pre-existing medical conditions, travel advisories, adventure activities, employment circumstances, or other personal factors affect coverage;
- Meeting all notice, documentation, and claim-submission deadlines; and
- Contacting the insurer or its claims administrator with questions about coverage or claims.
If you have questions about the meaning or effect of policy language, you should contact the insurer or a properly licensed insurance professional.
5. No Guarantee of Coverage, Claims, or Quotes
The Agency makes no promise or guarantee that:
- You will qualify for a particular policy;
- Any insurer will offer or approve coverage;
- A policy will cover a specific event, loss, trip, person, activity, destination, or medical condition;
- A claim will be approved or paid;
- A particular premium, quote, benefit, or policy option will be available;
- Coverage will remain available before your purchase; or
- A travel insurance policy will protect you from all financial loss or travel-related risks.
Insurance quotes, policy availability, and premiums may change. Only the insurer or its authorized representative can make an official coverage determination or claims decision.
6. Eligibility
The consultation is available to individuals who:
- Submit accurate and complete booking information;
- Provide a valid email address or telephone number;
- Are at least 18 years old, or participate with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian; and
- Agree to these Terms and Conditions.
The Agency may limit, decline, cancel, or reschedule a consultation at its discretion, including when the request involves conduct that is abusive, threatening, unlawful, misleading, or outside the purpose of this service.
7. Booking the Consultation
Consultations may be requested through an online form, scheduling link, email, telephone call, or another booking method made available by the Agency.
A consultation is not confirmed until the Agency or its scheduling system provides a confirmation. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and monitoring your email, telephone, and calendar for confirmation or scheduling communications.
You should be prepared to provide general trip information, such as destination, travel dates, travelers, and trip cost, if requested. Do not submit full payment-card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information through an online form, email, text message, or chat.
8. No Purchase Requirement or Obligation
The consultation is free. You are not required to purchase travel insurance, book travel through the Agency, or purchase any other product or service as a condition of receiving the consultation.
Any separate purchase or booking will be governed by its own terms and conditions. These Terms and Conditions do not create an obligation for you or the Agency to enter into a future transaction.
9. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
You may cancel or reschedule your consultation by contacting the Agency at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment whenever reasonably possible.
If you cancel late, fail to attend, or are unavailable at the scheduled time, the Agency may be unable to provide a replacement appointment or may limit future complimentary consultation bookings.
The Agency may cancel or reschedule an appointment because of illness, technical difficulties, scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or other circumstances. When reasonably possible, the Agency will provide notice and offer an alternative appointment time.
Because the consultation is complimentary, no cancellation fee will be charged.
10. Privacy and Information Handling
Information submitted in connection with the consultation will be handled in accordance with the Agency's Privacy Policy, as updated from time to time.
The Agency does not need your full payment-card number, card security code, account password, or similar highly sensitive information to schedule or conduct this consultation. You agree not to provide that information during the consultation or through an unsecured communication channel.
Information shared during the consultation may be used to schedule the appointment, communicate with you, provide general information, administer the Agency's services, and comply with applicable legal or business requirements, as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Third-Party Websites and Providers
The Agency may provide links or referrals to insurers, insurance providers, licensed insurance professionals, scheduling platforms, travel suppliers, or other third parties.
The Agency does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, policies, security practices, content, availability, pricing, representations, or performance. Your use of a third-party website or service is subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy.
You should independently verify that any insurance provider or professional you contact is properly authorized or licensed for your needs.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the consultation and all information provided in connection with it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
The Agency disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and suitability for your circumstances.
The Agency does not warrant that the consultation, scheduling system, website, communications, or linked resources will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
Information provided during the consultation may become outdated or may not apply to your specific situation. You are responsible for independently verifying information before making a purchase or travel decision.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Getaway by Tonya Jean Becker LLC, its owner, representatives, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of coverage, benefits, money, data, business opportunity, travel arrangements, or goodwill arising out of or related to:

- An insurer's underwriting, coverage, or claims decision;
- A third party's acts or omissions;
- Information you provide or fail to provide; or
- Your inability to attend or complete the consultation.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Getaway by Tonya Jean Becker LLC, its owner, representatives, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions;
- Your misuse of the consultation or website;
- Your violation of applicable law or a third party's rights; or
- Your acts or omissions in connection with an insurance purchase, travel booking, or claim.
15. Changes to These Terms
The Agency may update or revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated Terms and Conditions will be posted on the website with a revised Effective Date.
Your continued use of the consultation after updated Terms and Conditions are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The Terms and Conditions in effect when you schedule a consultation will generally govern that consultation, unless a later revision is required by law or applies to future use of the service.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the consultation will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
